IF I decide to "Host" a court, what do I need to
do and how is the relay run?
Get your players, their friends and family involved
To get players to commit to the relay, please send an email to everyone on your email list.
Display a poster at the Tennis Facility – we can email you one to download and print.
As people sign up, ask what time they prefer – it would be ideal to have 6 people per hour.
How is the relay run?
Using six players as an example, here is how the relay would work.
At 8:00 AM player #1 and #2 start hitting – just keeping the ball in motion.
At 8:10 AM player #3 would replace player #1 and once that is done, player #4 would replace player #2 – they should replace
each other without stopping the ball.
At 8:20AM player #5 would replace player #3 and again, once that is done. Player #6 would replace player #4
At 8:30AM Player #1 and #2 would go back onto the court in the same manner one at a time still keeping the ball in motion.
At 8:40AM Player #3 would replace player #1 and once that is done, player #4 would replace player #2 – they should replace
each other without stopping the ball.
At 8:50AM player #5 would replace player #3 and again, once that is done. Player #6 would replace player #4
At 9:00AM the next sequence of six players would start but always keeping the ball in motion as much as possible.
That would continue each hour – six new players an hour. Of course people could sign up for two spots if they want to.
